The Sierra Leone U-20 head coach, Mohamed Lamin Kamara has named his starting lineup to face Zambia in the AFCON U-20 opener at the Suez Canal Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Goalkeeper Mamadou Jalloh, 18, goalkeeper, has been selected to make his debut for the Shooting Stars. Currently playing for the Bröndy IF U-19 team in Denmark, Jalloh was born there and was previously eligible to represent both the Denmark and Guinea junior teams.

In another note, Arsenal prospect Osman Kamara will start the opener on the bench. The coach is expected to rely on the speed and skill of players Samuel Gandi and Salieu Bah during the match.

FC Kallon’s Nathaniel Jalloh is set to take on the right side back position, while Alpha Turay will occupy the left side back. In the midfield, Coach Kamara will count on the defensive skills of the tall midfielder, Alpha Kabia, to strengthen the team’s performance.

Football analysts have forecasted that the Shooting Stars will face a daunting task in qualifying from the Group A which hosts teams like South Africa, Zambia, Tanzania and host, Egypt.

Coach Kamara is expressing optimism about his team’s potential to achieve a surprising result in the competition. He has confidence in his team’s abilities as they aim for a successful run in the competition especially in the semis which could earn them a place in the FIFA U-20 World Cup.
