Sierra Leone national team midfielder, Alhassan Koroma who just signed for a club in Qatar penned an emotional farewell message to his club in Spain, Real Balompédica Linense. He drafted a very long message on his social media page expressing his time in Spain.

“It is with a heavy heart that I write this letter to bid you all farewell. As I reflect on the incredible journey we have shared together, I am filled with a mix of emotions – gratitude, nostalgia, and a touch of sadness. The memories we have created, the friendships we have forged, and the impact we have made as a club will forever hold a special place in my heart,” he said.

Moving on, he lamented the passion and enthusiasm that his like-minded individuals shared with him and his appreciation joining the club.

“From the moment I joined this club, I knew I had found a community of like-minded individuals who shared my passion and enthusiasm. Together, we have accomplished so much, whether it was organizing successful events, participating in competitions, or simply supporting each other’s growth. The dedication and hard work that each member has brought to the table have been truly inspiring,” he envisioned.

More so, he buttressed on the personal growth and development he attained at the club thereby expanding his horizon to gain valuable experiences.

“I am immensely grateful for the opportunities this club has provided me. It has been a platform for personal growth, allowing me to develop my skills, expand my horizons, and gain invaluable experiences. The support and encouragement I have received from all of you have played a significant role in shaping who I am today,” he said.

He went on to appreciate the friendship he had all these years at the club with late-night sessions and moments of thriump and challenges.  He said “The friendships I have formed within this club are truly priceless. The late-night brainstorming sessions, the laughter-filled meetings, and the shared moments of triumph and challenge have created bonds that will last a lifetime. I am grateful for the camaraderie and the sense of belonging that this club has given me.”

Despite all the good times and memory he had at the club he expressed his sorrow for leaving a club that has brought so much of joy and happiness in his life.

“However, as life takes its course, I find myself at a crossroads where I must bid farewell to this beloved club. While it saddens me to leave, I am confident that the spirit and passion of this club will continue to thrive. I have no doubt that each and every one of you will continue to make a positive impact, both within the club and beyond,” he said.

In the end he expressed his strength in going into another challenge in his life and thank his former club for being a second family to him with inspiration and unforgettable memories.

“As I embark on a new chapter in my life, I carry with me the memories, the lessons, and the friendships that this club has given me. I am forever grateful for the opportunities and the growth I have experienced here. Thank you, RBL for being my second family, my source of inspiration, and my home away from home.
