Today at State House, Mr. Babadi Kamara, the newly elected President of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA), presented his executive team and outlined a bold vision for the country’s football development to His Excellency, President Julius Maada Bio.

During the meeting, Mr. Kamara detailed his strategic priorities for the SLFA, highlighting the need for strong collaboration, effective resource mobilization, and the development of partnerships with mining companies to support football initiatives.

He also emphasized working closely with the National Sports Association and the Ministry of Sports to revitalize both the inter-secondary school league and the inter-district football competitions across Sierra Leone.

Mr. Kamara further stressed the importance of discipline, sound financial management, and accountability within the association, as key factors for sustainable growth in the sport.

In response, President Bio congratulated the SLFA executive team on their election and assured them of his full support in implementing their plans, noting the significance of football as a tool for national unity and youth development.
