Sierra Leone  President, Brigadier Julius Maada Bio (retd.) has praised the  Leone Stars Performance  in their second game in Cameroon  2021 Africa Cup of Nations campaign with a heartwarming draw against Ivory Coast, the Elephants , at the Japoma Stadium, Douala stadium on Sunday.

President Bio commends the Leone Stars  for an impressive second game at the ongoing 33rd Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Cameroon, holding a formidable opponent, Ivory Coast2-2, in their group stage encounter.

The President strongly believes, like millions of football-loving Sierra Leoneans, that the spectacular outing in, Cameroon is a foretaste of what to expect from the dedicated team as they square up against other opponents in the tournament

President Bio assures the team of his unflinching support as they roar like a lion and to write another chapter in the annals of Sierra Leone rich football history.

“The Sheer grit, lion-hearted, lion -hearted can-do, and never-die attitude shown by our darling  Leone Stars defines our nation. You have our nation very proud again today!” the president tweeted.

Leone Stars is expected to play their next match against Equatorial Guinea on Thursday.
