Sierra Leone Premier League Champions Bo Rangers and FA Cup finalists East End Lions are set to represent Sierra Leone in the 2024/25 CAF Interclub Competitions.

The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) is finalizing the submission of slots for the upcoming TotalEnergies CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup.

Bo Rangers FC, the reigning champions of Sierra Leone, will compete in the CAF Champions League for the third consecutive season. The club, based in the Southern Province, is the second team outside Freetown to win the country’s top flight league, following Eastern Province’s Diamond Stars in 2012. Notably, Bo Rangers are the first provincial team to clinch the championship for three successive seasons in Sierra Leone’s top flight club football competition.

East End Lions, known as “The Killers,” will participate in the CAF Confederation Cup after qualifying for the country’s FA Cup final alongside Bo Rangers. Both clubs are awaiting a possible replay of the final, pending a decision by the disciplinary committee. This marks East End Lions’ return to continental competition since their last appearance in the CAF Champions League Preliminary Round in 2015.

The 2024/25 CAF Interclub season is set to commence with the Preliminary Round between August 16-18, 2024. The draw for this round is scheduled for July 4, 2024. Group Stages will run from October to December 2024, with the Knockout Phase and Finals taking place between March and May 2025.

As confirmed by CAF, teams will no longer drop from the CAF Champions League into the CAF Confederation Cup, continuing the policy established in the 2023/24 season.
