Minister of Sports, Madam Augusta James-Teima, presented the trophy and praised the team’s dedication and commitment, especially for winning the league consecutively.

Minister James-Teima highlighted the importance of Bo Rangers’ success, not just for the club, but for the entire nation. She emphasized President Bio’s love for football and the government’s commitment to supporting the sport as long as it brings honor to Sierra Leone. This season marked a significant turning point for the Leone Rock Premier League thanks to a groundbreaking sponsorship deal with Leone Rock Metal Group (LRMG). Their $80,000 investment set a new standard for the league, providing not only financial support but also referee uniforms and kits.

LRMG’s impact went beyond finances. They introduced the “Player of the Month” and “Coach of the Month” awards, a first in Sierra Leonean football history. These awards, along with the sponsorship itself, were lauded by Premier League Board Chairman Victor Lewis for creating job opportunities for young Sierra Leoneans.

The season culminated in a thrilling finale at Bo Rangers’ home stadium, the Southern Arena. Bo Rangers emerged victorious, lifting the trophy to a jubilant crowd. Minister James-Teima hailed the season as a pinnacle of sporting achievement, commending the unifying spirit and recognition of young talent fostered by LRMG’s involvement. President Bio’s endorsement of the sponsorship further cemented its importance for national development.

LRMG representative Abdul Massaquoi highlighted the positive impact of the sponsorship on youth development and national unity. Their commitment to extend support beyond sports demonstrates a comprehensive approach to social responsibility, promising a lasting impact on Sierra Leone.
