The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has issued a directive to the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) to carry out a pre-inspection exercise on the Southern Arena in Bo City in preparation for the CAF Interclubs first round preliminary qualifiers.
These qualifiers will see champions Bo Rangers compete in the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League and while East End Lions will compete in the TotalEnergies CAF Confederations Cup, with both matches scheduled for August 2024.
The Competitions Director at the Sierra Leone Football Association, Sorie Ibrahim Sesay, has been assigned the responsibility of leading the pre-inspection exercise on currently the country’s only top tier sporting venue the Southern Arena stadium on Saturday, July 20th, 2024, starting at 10:00 AM.
In a correspondence exchanged between CAF and SLFA, it is expected that the country’s football governing body delivers its report detailing the findings of the pre-inspection to CAF latest by July 22nd, 2024.
This pre-inspection process is crucial in determining the suitability of venues for the upcoming CAF interclubs matches, emphasizing the importance of ensuring top-quality facilities for the continent’s first and second tier interclubs competitions.
