The Confederation of African Football has suspended Mohamed Kallon and other FC Kallon officials for their offensive behaviour towards a Referee in match 68 between Future FC and FC Kallon .
According to a press release by the Sierra Leone Football Association dated 21st December 2022, states that “In the case of Match 68, Future FC (Egypt) vs. Kallon FC (Sierra Leone) which played in the frame of the CAF Confederation Cup, 2022-2023, the CAF Disciplinary Board on Monday the 28th November 2022 met and took a decision to;
(I) Suspend the Coach Mr. Mohamed Kallon as well as the Team Doctor Mr Chernor Cidy Bah for their next four (4) CAF inter-club matches.
(II)The Board also decided to impose upon each of the two Kallon FC officials a financial sanction of 10,000 USD (Ten Thousand Dollars) each, for their offensive behaviour toward the referees of the match. The said amount must be paid within 60 days of the date the decision was taken (28th November 2022).”
The said match 68 was part of the CAF Confederations Cup, Qualification. Future FC dumped FC Kallon out of the competition with a 6-0 aggregate.
Meanwhile, the Former Leone Stars Captain and FC Kallon Coach is yet to reply to this decision by the Confederation of African Football disciplinary Body.
