Young Sierra Leonean Female Cyclist Deborah Fatima Conteh has bagged the second Position title in the just concluded Third Edition of RideAfrique Accra Criterium Tournament at the Accra Sports Stadium.

According to the Chief Executive Officer(CEO) of RideAfrique, Mr Richard Agu said measures were put in place to ensure the success of the event.

“This year we have added a second category to the race; the female race. This is a slightly shorter set of laps-15. This will be done ahead of the Men’s race which has 30 laps.” he stated

Deborah, 23, finished second behind her West African and Nigerian Counterparts, with over 30 professional riders that represented different African countries

“I came to defend my title, I felt so bad for the result. I blame the organisers. I never knew we were going to finishing touch, I never saw any signal,” Fatima emphasized

RideAfrique is an international cycling competition held annually in Ghana.

Conteh won the 2022 edition of RideAfrique in the the female category, with over 20 professional riders across the continent trailing her.
