Edmond Abu, a well-known civil society activist, has officially announced his candidacy for the presidency of the Rugby Union in the upcoming elections.

The election, scheduled for August 10, 2024, will be conducted under the supervision of the Ministry of Sports (MoS), the National Sports Authority (NSA), and the National Olympic Committee (NOC).

Abu, who currently serves as the national team manager and CEO of Native Bulls Rugby Club, aims to bring fresh leadership to the Rugby Union.

The election will take place at the Olympic House on College Road, Godrich, starting at 10 a.m.
