The kick-start of 2022/2023 Sierra Leone Premier League is just around the corner. Ahead of the FC Kallon’s clash with the Bai Bureh Warriors from Port Loko City, the Cavaliers have today had a training season at the Angola Field Freetown.
FC Kallon is undoubtedly one of the best teams in the Sierra Leone Premier League. The club, originally known as Sierra Fisheries, and is one of the top teams in the Sierra Leone National Premier League, and they play their home games at Freetown’s National Stadium.
FC Kallon has won the Sierra Leone National Premier League 4 times on diverse years as Sierra Fisheries and once the Sierra Leone FA Cup in 2007.
In the 2020/2021 Sierra Leone Premier League season, after tough football rounds with matches won, drawn and some lost, FC Kallon bagged 5th position on the league table with 49 points to their name.
On the 23 April 2022, FC Kallon clashed with Bai Bureh Warriors which ended in a 0:0 draw. The Cavaliers played 34 games, they won 13 total games, drew 10 and lost 11 matches.
With determination and optimism, FC Kallon signed six new players to strengthen their weak spots in the team. Mask Man Alie Conteh Nzonzi and the other five players will be driving the cavaliers along with the club-established stars in this year’s Sierra Leone Premier League.
On their counterpart, the Bai Bureh Warriors FC finished 15th position in the 2020/2021 Sierra Leone Premier League table. They played 33 matches, won 10 of those matches, drew 9 and lost 14.
Both teams will lock horns on Saturday 10th December at the Port Loko stadium.
