Sierra Leone American Tennis player Frances Tiafoe has eliminated Rafa Nadal in the US Open Tennis Championships and reached the quarterfinals.

The great Rafael Nada was beaten in the fourth round with 6-4-4-6-6-4-6-3 to advance to the US Open quarter-final for the first time.

Nadal’s hopes of winning a third grand Slam title were left futile as Tiafoe put on an exceptional performance.

Nadal is a world sports royalty because of his incredible talent and work ethic. He had never lost to an American at the US Open.

Frances Tiafoe grew up at the Junior Tennis Champions Center in College Park. his father was the chief custodian for the indoor tennis facility and he and his two sons lived in a room at the complex; his mother was working night shifts as a nurse. They are a family of immigrants from Sierra Leone.
