The Former Goalkeeper of Kallon FC Goalkeeper Aruna “Bangla” Kamara has successfully undergone his spine surgery which stopped him from playing for the National Team and Kallon FC.

In reaction to his first successful surgery, the President of the Sierra Leone Football Thomas Daddy Brima “I am overwhelmed and ecstatic to inform all football stakeholders and the public that Goalkeeper Aruna “Bangla” Kamara has successfully undergone his spine surgery which stopped him from playing for the National Team and Kallon FC.

As promised few weeks back, that my leadership is committed in ensuring Goalkeeper Bangla regains his health status, all bills were paid by the Football Association.

This is not the first time, my leadership is helping players and coaches who are faced with medical problems and major challenges in Sierra Leone. We will continue to create a conducive atmosphere for all our players in our football ecosystem.

My Executive Committee members and the Football Association’s Staff wish Goalkeeper Aruna Bangla speedy recovery and we anticipate his return to football within the shortest possible time,”

The Former Leone Stars goalkeeper, was in in dire need of to perform Bone Surgery at the Life Care Hospital in Freetown.

The Goalkeeper sustained a broken bone injury during his active service.

According to the Player medica report making the rounds on Social media, the shot stopper  performed an X-ray with Life Care Hospital and was given a medical bill of NL100,00 to perform his operation. Following public appeal to restore raise the amount, the President of the Sierra Leone Football Association Intervened with support to perform the surgery.
