The Government of Sierra Leone, through the National Sports Authority, has announced the disbursement of $893,000 USD to support the national football team ahead of their upcoming matches against Djibouti and Burkina Faso in June.
This substantial financial support was revealed during a press conference held by the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA).
NSA Executive Director Emmanuel Saffa Abdulia detailed that the funds will cover expenses for a 44-member delegation, which includes 24 players, technical staff, and officials.
Sierra Leone will clash with Burkina Faso on Monday, 10th June and Djibouti on the 5th June in the Group stage of the 2024 World Cup qualifiers.
