Sierra Leonean football legend Mohamed Kallon delivered a standout performance, scoring four goals in a CAF Gala match ahead of the 46th CAF Ordinary General Assembly.

Kallon’s CAF FC triumphed 7-3 over a team of African football icons in an exhibition showcasing immense talent.

CAF FC faced stiff competition, with opponents including Senegal’s El Hadji Diouf, Nigeria’s Jay Jay Okocha, Cameroon’s Samuel Eto’o, and fellow Sierra Leonean Rodney Strasser. Despite the star-studded lineup, Kallon’s display of skill dominated the game, driving his team to victory.

The CAF FC squad featured prominent figures from African football governance, including Isha Johansen, the first Sierra Leonean member of the FIFA Council, who made an appearance off the bench. The team was managed by Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) President Thomas Daddy Brima, whose technical strategies proved pivotal in securing the win.

Kallon, playing alongside CAF President Dr. Patrice Motsepe and other CAF Executive Committee members, left a lasting impression with his performance. Reflecting on the event, Kallon expressed gratitude to SLFA President Brima and his executive team for the opportunity to participate in the prestigious occasion. He also looked forward to further contributions to African football.
