Sierra Leonean footballer Alhaji Kamara has publicly raised concerns over the circumstances surrounding the dismissal of former Leone Stars head coach Mohamed Kallon, calling on the Sierra Leone Football Association to provide a clearer explanation to the public.
Speaking on the issue, Kamara questioned the official reasons given for Kallon’s termination, particularly reports suggesting that failure to attend press conferences played a role.
”In big countries and clubs around the world, coaches sometimes send representatives to attend press conferences. So I don’t think that alone is enough reason,” Kamara stated.
He emphasized that there may be deeper, undisclosed factors behind the decision and urged the SLFA to address growing speculation.
Kamara stressed that Sierra Leoneans-especially football supporters and taxpayers—deserve full transparency from the country’s football governing body.
”The public, the supporters, and taxpayers deserve to know the real reason. SLFA needs to hold a press conference and explain what happened behind closed doors,” he said.
He added that the current explanations provided by the association lack sufficient detail, leaving room for rumors and public distrust.
According to Kamara, if the dismissal was based on more concrete issues-such as licensing requirements or contractual disagreements-those reasons would be more understandable to the public.
”If it was about licensing or refusal to renew a contract, people would understand. But what has been said so far is not enough,” he noted.
I believe that as a president of Sierra Leone football association (S L F A) before sacking a national coach there must be enough relevant reasons irrespective of he was appointed he deserves to be treated respectively in his position, failing to attend conference meeting i think this reason is not enough for terminating his contract, please Mr President (SLFA) as a concern citizens we need better explanations for the termination of Mohamed Kallon service.
Like seriously SLFA need to tell the public the reason behind Kallon dismissal, because that particular reason they said it’s not an enough reason for Mr. Kallon contract termination.
Babade Kamara have hidden agenda towards Mohamed Kallon to be frankly speaking, their I rest my case.
