Leone Stars head coach, John Keister’s contract with the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) has officially ended today, 30th June 2023.
The current future of the Leone Stars Coach is uncertain and speculation has risen suggesting that the Manchester-born coach will not be offered a new contract due to poor records with the Sierra Leone national male football team.
The gaffer is yet to make a statement about his contractual situation following Leone Stars’ recent exit from the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers.
On Monday 10th August 2020, John Keister was appointed as Sierra Leone’s football coach. The former Sierra Leonean international was named coach of Leone Stars for a second time on a deal until 2023. The tactician replaces former Ghana and Rwanda coach Sellas Tetteh, who resigned in March due to personal reasons.
