Leone Stars and Real Balompedica Winger, Alhassan Koroma (Twin) has sustained an injury in Cameroon and has been ruled out of the campaign by the medical team.
According to the medical team, the player is unfit and could not continue with the rest of the other players so therefore Augustus Kargbo, who was on the standby list replaces him with immediate effect.
The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) has sent a request letter for Augustine Kargbo to the Italy Football Association on Saturday, 9th January 2021.
Alhassan Koroma is a 21 year old professional Footballer who started his career in Port Loko District, Nothern Sierra Leone with Marampa Stars.
Since then, the winger has caught the attention of many spectators in the Sierra Leone Premier League while playing for East End Lions.
Koroma later signed for Real Balompedica in Spain. The Winger enjoys a recent three year contract extension in 2021 with his club as a result of hardwork.
In recent times, Borussia Dortmund and Real Betis have expressed strong interest in signing the Sierra Leone International. Koroma also played a pivotal role in helping Real Balompedica reach the Spanish third tier.
The Winger was part of the Sierra Leone Side against Iran in a friendly in Tehran, 2018 and was also part of the Sierra Leone U20 side during the West Africa Union tournament in Liberia(WAFU)
The Winger has been very instrumental in helping Leone Stars qualification for the African Cup Nations in Cameroon. He was featured by Coach John Kiester in qualification matches against Nigeria and Lesotho.
