Leone Stars head coach Mohamed Kallon has successfully renewed his UEFA coaching licence, a milestone that now officially allows him to continue coaching professionally anywhere in the world until the end of 2026.

In a video shared online, Kallon displayed his updated licence certificate and card, announcing that the renewal process is complete. He explained that he had previously informed friends and family about going through the renewal, noting that the process required significant time and dedication. “My licence has now been updated, which permits me to coach anywhere in the world until the end of 2026,” Kallon said. “I am excited to have completed the process and happy for this achievement.”

The renewal comes after recent scrutiny over Kallon’s certification. Popular sports journalist Hawa Dauda, media head of Sierra Leone’s Under-20 national football team, had previously accused Kallon of negligence, stating that his UEFA Pro Licence had been expired for three years. Dauda claimed the coach had neglected refresher courses during this period and suggested he might not have renewed the certification had the Sierra Leone Football Association not requested verification.

Kallon’s successful renewal now ensures that he remains fully qualified to lead the Leone Stars at both domestic and international levels, reaffirming his professional standing as one of Sierra Leone’s top football coaches.
