Today’s match against Ethiopia marks the coach’s inaugural competitive fixture for the team, following victories in friendlies against Somalia and a draw against Benin shortly after assuming the role of head coach.
“This is our first match in the World Cup Qualifiers, and we are going to win it to put us in a better position going into the second match against Egypt on Sunday in Liberia,” he says.
He urged Sierra Leoneans to rally behind the team, emphasizing that their support would enhance the players’ motivation and efforts.
“With your support, the sky will be our limit, So please, Sierra Leoneans, play your part and make the country proud,” he adds.
