The skipper of East End Lions Kemson Fofanah has called on supporters of the club to exercise patience with both the players and the technical team as well as remain steadfast in supporting the club in the ongoing Sierra Leone Premier League 2022/23 season.

East End Lions FC is among the teams on an unbeaten streak in the ongoing league with eight (8) points and sits in the second position, however, they have recorded two consecutive draws after another goalless encounter against Diamond Stars at home at the Trade Centre field on Tuesday, 27th December 20Kempsonemson Fofanah who was named in the previous 2021/22 league team of the season.

According to NewsFeed Sierra Leone, kemson stated that they remain focused as players to achieve the quest of bringing glory to the club at the end of the season by winning the league title but noted that it will not be an easy journey.

“The blank truth is we can’t win every match in the league as it will be a somehow difficult season because all the teams are well prepared and you can’t underrate anyone, however as players of East End Lions we continue to be hardworking and bring laurel to the club at the end of the season” he ascribed.

He further applauded the executive committee of the club headed by Chairman Amb. Anthony Navo Jr and the fans for the unflinching support they are providing to them the players, however, called on the fans to be patient and not attack the referees” football preaches peace and build friendship since I joined East End Lions the support of the fans has been amazing always cheering us everywhere we travel, and my appeal is for them not to attack the match officials as we all could remember how it affected us last season losing three points and three goals to Bai Bureh Warriors after the match was brought into disrepute” he concluded.

East End Lions Football Club will face off against their arch-rivals and league leader Mighty Blackpool in the next fixture on Sunday, 1st January 2022 at the Parade ground.
