It is almost a month since the Sierra Leone Women’s Premier League kicked-start on the Saturday 25th October 2022. There has been a massive tension as to who stays on the top of the league table. As of yesterday 6th November 2022, Mogbwemo Queens has topped the league table.

It has been a tough and rough football battle as teams fight to go up the league table. Almost every week or two, a new team makes the lead in the table as the previous is with sent to the second or third position. As the league keeps having teeth, Mogbwemo Queens of Bonthe have on this past Saturday topped the Sierra Leone Women’s Premier League table with 12 point leaving the second in the table with 9 points.

Two months ago ahead of the Women’s Premier League kick-start, Mogbwemo Queens locked horns with the Avenor Ladies of Ghana. The Sierra Leone Female Premier League side from Bonthe District defeated  Ghana Division One side Avenor Ladies 6-0 in an International friendly game played at the WAFA Astro Turf in Ghana.

As determined as they could ever be to top the league table, Mogbwemo Queens locked horns against Ven buck this past weekend Saturday 5th November 2022 that resulted to a 4:0 victory in favour of Queens from Bonthe at the rutile town field.
Two weeks ago, the league was topped by FC Kallon female football club which were knocked from their by Sierra Leone Police as the topped the table on Saturday 30th October 2022 on a goal difference with Mogbwemo Queens in second position.
With Sierra Leone Police loosing to Take K FC this past weekend on Sunday 6th November at the police field, this gave the Mogbwemo Queens an superb advantage to overtook Sierra Leone Police FC. As it stands now, Mogbwemo Queens FC is presently 3 points ahead the Kahunla Queens who are 9 points  with goal difference with Sierra Leone Police on the third position of the league table.
