Mohamed Kallon, head coach of both the Leone Stars national team and FC Kallon, has launched a scathing attack on the officiating standards in the ongoing Sierra Leone Premier League, accusing match officials of widespread dishonesty and match manipulation.
In a social media outburst following FC Kallon’s recent match against Abacha FC, Kallon directly named referee Sulaiman S. Kamara, alleging biased and incompetent decisions that significantly impacted the game’s outcome.
“I went straight to the match commissioner and the referees chairman complaining about bad officiating by Sulaiman S. Kamara,” Kallon stated. “Sulaiman asked me to shut up and bring out evidence. The disrespect is too much…They are deciding the outcome of every match because they are not holding them accountable for their actions.”
Kallon further substantiated his claims by providing video evidence of what he described as “three penalties in the same match” that were wrongly awarded against his team. He also highlighted Kamara’s involvement in FC Kallon’s previous 2-3 defeat against Diamond Stars, specifically questioning the legitimacy of Diamond Stars’ first goal.
“Guys, this is my evidence. Please watch the videos,” Kallon urged. “It was the same guy who officiated our game against Diamond Stars which ended 2-3, go and watch the Diamond Stars first goal.”
Adding to the gravity of his allegations, Kallon revealed that Sulaiman S. Kamara is a CAF (Confederation of African Football) referee, raising concerns about the integrity of officiating at a continental level.
“And he is a CAF referee as well,” Kallon emphasized.
The outspoken coach concluded his statement by appealing directly to the CAF referees chairman, imploring them to investigate the matter. “I pray this post catches the eyes of the referee chairman of CAF,” Kallon wrote, seeking intervention from higher footballing authorities.
He didn’t say 3 penalties were awarded against his team sir. The video evidences shows that the referee denied his team 3 penalties
