Former Leone Stars Captain Mohamed Kallon has expressed appreciation to Leone Stars Technical team and the players for their outstanding performances in the African Cup of Nations.
He considered Leone Stars recent performances as a dream come true . Kallon stated that he has been following the nation’s cup for a very longtime watching the likes of Nigeria, Ivory Coast , Ghana and some other West African Countries with huge fan base in the nation’s Cup.
“I was shaking when I saw our Green white and Blue colors everywhere in the Douala stadium, Thanks to everyone for supporting our Darling Leone Stars”, Ambassador Kallon Stated
Mohamed Kallon has became the youngest player to ever play for the Leone Stars when he made his Senior International debut for Sierra Leone at age of Fifteen in April 1995 against Congo in the 1996 African Cup of Nations qualifiers in Freetown, In which he scored the winner .
At age 16 , Kallon was the youngest player at the 1996 African Nations Cup in South Africa. He Scored one of his his country two goals as Sierra Leone defeated Burkina Faso2-1 in their opening match at the 19996 African Nations Cup, played at the Free State stadium in Blumfontein,South Africa.
