Mohamed Nbalie Kamara, the goalkeeper for Sierra Leone’s national team, the Leone Stars, is poised to participate in the upcoming TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup with its current club, Singida Black Stars.
The opportunity arises following the club’s commendable fourth-place finish in the Tanzania Ligi Kuu Bara, securing their spot in the continental competition.
Originally, the team’s aspiration was to qualify for the prestigious CAF Champions League. However, their league performance has positioned them for participation in the Confederation Cup instead.
Currently, Kamara is on loan at Pamba Jiji Football Club, which raises questions about his future with Singida Black Stars. His participation in the Confederation Cup will depend on the renewal of his contract with the club, a decision that is yet to be finalized.
The Confederation Cup presents a valuable opportunity for the club to showcase their talent and compete against some of Africa’s best teams.
