Popular Leone Stars forward Musa Tombo Kamara has met with Minister of Sports Madam Augusta James –Teima at her office, Bishop house in Freetown.

The striker congratulated the Minister and pledged his total support for her  throughout her tenure.

In her response, Madam Minister welcomed the striker  and expressed her appreciation to Musa Tombo for his visit.

“I am so much happy to meet with you and receive you as my son. I have been looking for this great opportunity to sit and talk with you. You still have a lot to offer to your country interms of success and achievements towards Leone Stars,” she stated

Madam Augusta James Teima replaced Ibrahim Nylenkeh as  Sierra Leone’s sports Minister . The announcement was made on the July 15, 2023 by the Office of the President State House.

Madam Teima is the first woman to be appointed as Sports Minister since the inception of multi-party democracy in Sierra Leone.

The mandate of the Ministry of Sports is to design and develop appropriate policies and programmes that will ensure, and promote Sports throughout the Country; to promote the physical and psychological wellbeing of Sierra Leoneans, to develop the capacity of youths and young adults engaged in Sports to attain excellence at national and international competitions, and to engender the spirit of healthy competition, unity and love among the citizenry.
