Bo Rangers FC and Kallon FC will be playing a friendly match in Kenema on Sunday 28th August 2022, ahead of their participation in the Total Energies CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup in September.

The match is scheduled to take place on Sunday 28th August at the Kenema playing field.

The Southern province-base outfit Bo Rangers and FC Kallon are the two teams representing Sierra Leone in the 2022/23 CAF continental competitions.

The 2021/2022 fifth -placed side FC Kallon will join Bo Rangers, who won the Sierra Leone top flight league for the first time in
68 years.As part of their series of line up friendly matches, FC Kallon recently held the Leone Stars B Team to a 1-1 draw.

Second-placed side in the Sierra Leone Premier League, East End Lions, declined to participate in the competition after CAF announced the official registration of clubs for the CAF interclubs competitions. East Lions cited disrespect from the Sierra Leone Football Association as a reason for declining their participation.

The Sierra Leone Football Association, SLFA, following request from FC Kallon  completed registration for Bo Rangers and FC Kallon, a source told this medium.

All preliminary home and away matches are set to be played between 09-11 September and 16-18 September 2022.

The PK Boys are the second Team outside the capital Freetown to win the Sierra Leone Premier League after Diamond Stars won it in 2012 and 2013.

In 2017, FC Johansen was eliminated by FUS Rabat 4-1 on aggregate in the CAF Champions League as both sides played to 1-1 draw in Freetown, but the Morrocan side won 3-0 at their Stade du fus on 18 February 2017.
