Newly promoted Sierra Leone Premier League side, Real Republicans have vowed to return to past glory after 13 years of absence in top tier football.

Assistant Coach for the team, Mohamed Jabbie, said in an exclusive interview that they are in the division for a purpose.

We are well prepared to compete and stay atop so that we can compete again in subsequent seasons,” he said.

The Assistant Coach expressed the financial loss they went through during their stay outside the first division and added that they are against such a recurrence.

However, the three-time Premier League Champions sits bottom of the League with only 2 points from 5 games played.

Republicans are set to host Wusum Stars this Thursday at Angola Field, Freetown as they look forward to winning their first match of the campaign.
