The officials of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) has officially confirmed to Sierraloaded that one of the world’s most successful and internationally-acclaimed football heroes, Cameroonian-born icon Samuel Eto’o has arrived Sierra Leone.

It was gathered that the former African best player arrived in Sierra Leone on Friday 30th October, 2015 with a high powered FIFA team led by the FIFA Medical Chief Officer, Professor Dvorak.

Officials from the SLFA, NRC, MEST, ministry of sports, ministry and the ministry of Social welfare, Gender and children affairs were said to have received the high powered delegation at the Lungi Airport.

Sierra Lone has been nominated by the world football Governing body to be the next country to benefit from it ‘’FIFA 11 for health initiative aimed at targeting young boys and children as it seeks to inspire healthy lifestyle through football and Education.’’

Samuel Eto’o Will be the first high Profile celebrity to visit Sierra Leone during the Ebola crisis.

Samuel Eto’o know for his philanthropic and humanitarian nature, Eto’o together with his management team and FIFA will visit affected areas and try to reach out to many young football lovers during his two days visit.

The Cameroonian superstar will promote FIFA’S 11 for health programme an important FIFA campaign that seek to inspire healthy lifestyle through Education and Football for young children.

The FIFA 11 for health programme embraces the power of football and scientific research to inspire a healthier world and better health among young people so that they can live life to the fullest.

It provides guidance causes of diseases such as HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis, Malaria, Diabetes and Obesity.

In addition, the FIFA delegation and Samuel Eto’o will be conducting site visit to communities affected by Ebola and to evaluate the effectiveness of the Emergency campaign against Ebola, this campaign was out together last year by FIFA and the World Bank, using the Strength of the vice of the world famous players such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Didier Drogba and Neymar to inform the local population about important measures that could be taken on order to avoid contact with the Ebola virus.
