Sierra Leone sprinter Fatmata Awolo has broken Maggie Barrie’s 100 meters record to become the country’s fastest female Athlete in the 100 meters.
Awolo who is hailed from Kambia, Nothern Sierra Leone clocks a time of 11.34 Seconds at the Sam Johnson invitation meeting in Texas, United States.
While expressing hope for Sierra Leone Athletics, former Sierra Leone100 meters record holder, Maggie Barrie congratulated her on her new achievement. she pointed out that records are meant to be broken.
