The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) has announced the death of former referee Muskuda Sesay, who passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2026.

In a statement, the SLFA described Sesay as a dedicated servant of the game, noting that her contribution to refereeing played a significant role in the development and empowerment of female football in Sierra Leone.

The football governing body said Sesay’s legacy is defined by her commitment, professionalism, and passion for the sport, adding that she made a lasting impact on referees across the country and the wider football community.

Her work and dedication have left an indelible mark on many referees and the football family at large,” the statement said.

The SLFA also expressed its deep condolences to the family of the late referee and extended prayers for her peaceful rest, while standing in solidarity with her loved ones during their time of grief.
