The Sierra Leone Football Association has bid Farewell to three UEFA Assist Experts following a two-day training of Female football stakeholders at the Atlantic Lumley Hotel in Freetown.
The new UEFA Assist program promotes dialogue with key stakeholders and supports member associations with skills and techniques for standardized measures to guarantee the sustainability of domestic football leagues. It also focuses on the appropriate competitive model, financial sustainability, and the organization of league competitions within the parameters of excellence.
The experts focus on an in-depth operational review of the Female competition structure, as well as the commercial, financial, and governance aspects of the domestic league to strengthen the existing league system.
The three experts were; Monika Staab (Women’s Football Director in Saudi Arabia), Jules MCgeever (UEFA Marketing Expert), and Eva Pasquier (Head of International Relations at UEFA).
In his farewell speech, SLFA President Thomas Brima expressed a strong commitment to implement all recommendations put forward by UEFA Assist to ensure the growth and development of women’s football in the country.
