The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA), President, Babadi Kamara, has signed the federation’s first-ever Anti-Doping Memorandum of Understanding MOU with the national Olympic Committee on Tuesday, December 9, 2025.
The signing took place at the NOC Office on Walpole Street, Freetown. The groundbreaking partnership establishes a formal framework to promote clean sport, protect athletes, and uphold integrity within Sierra Leone football.
In his statement, President Babadi Kamara highlighted that the agreement aims to protect players’ Health, ensure fair play, and preserve the ethics of sport.

He stressed the need to safeguard Sierra Leone’s many young talents from drug abuse, describing the MOU as a crucial first step.
“If we are not able to completely eradicate drugs, we will at least minimize them to the barest minimum.”
Furthermore, the NOC President, Prince Vandy Sualley, thanked the SLFA for initiating the partnership and pledged the Committee’s full support in its implementation, expressing optimism for further collaboration to strengthen sports development nationwide.

According to President Babadi Kamara, this landmark agreement underscores Sierra Leone’s commitment to advancing professionalism and integrity in its sporting landscape.
The event was witnessed by the NOC President, Prince Vandy Sualley, Secretary of NOC, Ahmed Khanou; Head of the National Anti-Doping Organization (NADO-SL), Dr. Conton, and the Acting General Secretary of SLFA, Mohamed Benson Bawoh.
