The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) has officially announced the inclusion of Foday Anthony as a member of its Executive Committee.

The announcement, released on Monday, January 12, 2026, marks a significant development in the association’s leadership structure for the ongoing football season.

Anthony’s inclusion follows his interim appointment as Chairman of the SLFA Organizing Committee.
According to the SLFA Statutes, regional chairmen are automatically granted membership on the national Executive Committee to ensure adequate regional representation in the sport’s highest decision-making body.

The SLFA, under the leadership of President Babadi Kamara, expressed confidence that Anthony’s addition will strengthen the federation’s administrative capacity.
In an official press release, the association congratulated Anthony and stated that it “looks forward to his contributions toward the continued growth and development of football across the country.”

The move is widely viewed as part of the SLFA’s broader effort to harmonize regional football governance with the national executive.

The Eastern Region, long recognized as a strong source of football talent, is expected to benefit from Anthony’s dual role, which is anticipated to enhance coordination between grassroots development and national policy formulation
