Joshua Wyse and Olamiday Sam from Sierra Leone Aquatics have qualified for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, as announced by Africa Aquatics.
They will be Sierra Leone’s sole representatives at the event, which will run from July 26 to August 11, 2024, with potential for additional athletes through a wild card entry.
This marks the second consecutive Olympic Games for Sierra Leone Aquatics, with Wyse competing in his second consecutive Olympics.
Both swimmers credited their success to focus, determination, and support from their executive team, particularly President Mohamed Turay.
Paris 2024 will be historic, featuring an Opening Ceremony along the Seine River. Wyse and Sam will join over a thousand athletes in this 17-day event, embodying global athleticism and unity.
