Leone Stars forward, Mohamed Buya Turay is looking to play his first match for his new Danish Super League side, Odense Boldklub.

On a social media post, Turay states, “I am looking forward to playing the first real training match and to be part of the team in battle,” before Tuesday’s training match against Vejle.

The club confirmed the signing of Sierra Leone striker Mohamed Buya Turay on a two-year deal.

“Ahead of the coming season, we have agreed with former Allsvenskan top scorer Mohamed Buya Turay on a two-year contract,” the club said in a statement.

The striker left his former Malmo due to family issues and Odense made him an attractive offer which he accepted.

After his test match, Turays reveals, “I’m excited to play the first real practice game and be a part of the team in the game. I’m excited, and it’s something I’ve been waiting for since I joined the club.”

The Prolific striker is expected to serve as an offensive threat and score more goals for his new side.

Turay started his professional career in Sweden in 2013, and he joined Sint-Truiden VV in Belgium in 2018. In 2019 he returned to Sweden after he was signed by Djurgårdens IF, where he helped the club win the Swedish championship as the top scorer in Allsvenskan.
