Recent updates from CAF have shown that a less likelihood for the AFCON 2022 to hold in 2022.

The AFCON which is set for 2022 is said to be at risk of being postponed or canceled due to infrastructure challenges in the hos nation, Cameroon.

CAF Executive Committee has noted that there are urgent need to make follow-ups with the Local Organizing Committe on areas that still need some urgent attention ahead of the kickoff of the AFCON on 9th January, 2022.

This report came following CAF visit to the host nation to ascertain the progress and preparedness of Cameroon to host the AFCON in January 2022.
