How They Got Here

France vs Morocco 

France reached the quarter-finals after a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Paraguay, with Kylian Mbappe scoring from the penalty spot. Morocco impressed with a commanding 3-0 win over co-hosts Canada in Houston, with Azzedine Ounahi scoring twice and Soufiane Rahimi adding a third. This is a rematch of the 2022 World Cup semi-final, which France won 2-0.

Spain vs Belgium 

Spain edged Portugal 1-0 thanks to a stoppage-time winner from Mikel Merino, ending Cristiano Ronaldo’s World Cup dream. Belgium demolished co-hosts USA 4-1, with Charles De Ketelaere scoring twice, while Hans Vanaken and Romelu Lukaku also found the net.

Norway vs England 

Norway produced the shock of the tournament by eliminating five-time champions Brazil 2-1, with Erling Haaland scoring both goals. England survived a hostile Azteca Stadium to beat Mexico 3-2, with Jude Bellingham scoring twice and Harry Kane adding a penalty.

Argentina vs Switzerland 

Argentina completed a stunning comeback to beat Egypt 3-2 after trailing 2-0 with 11 minutes remaining. Switzerland advanced by beating Colombia 4-3 in a tense penalty shootout after a 0-0 draw.

Semi-Final Pathways

The winners of France vs Morocco and Spain vs Belgium will meet in the first semi-final on Tuesday, 14 July at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

The winners of Norway vs England and Argentina vs Switzerland will meet in the second semi-final on Wednesday, 15 July.
