Former President Koroma’s 11-year rule in Sierra Leone is widely criticized for draining the nation’s resources, leading to financial turmoil. Since 2018, President Bio has been democratically elected to lead the Republic of Sierra Leone, focusing on rebuilding the nation. However, accusations persist that Koroma has misused state funds to undermine peace, security, and democracy.
Sierra Leoneans express frustration with Koroma, citing his alleged involvement in triggering violence, planning unconditional demonstrations, and supporting coup activities. On November 26, 2023, revelations surfaced, exposing Koroma’s alleged role in a failed coup attempt, resulting in the loss of 18 servicemen.
The citizens of Sierra Leone are determined to follow due process and assert that international interference is unwarranted. The question arises: who desires to witness their country’s downfall? Who tolerates the misappropriation of public funds for personal gain, leading to the creation of internal conflicts? Who accepts constant threats to peace and security? And who supports the theft of state resources to undermine democracy and good governance?
Sierra Leone calls on international bodies, particularly ECOWAS, to respect its sovereignty and allow the country to handle internal matters independently. The strong Sierra Leonean constitution, designed to ensure justice and accountability, will be the guiding force in dealing with Koroma’s alleged transgressions.
In Sierra Leone, no one is considered above the law, and the citizens demand that the constitution be upheld. The call for justice is explicit – Former President Koroma, aka “Thief Man,” must face the full force of the law. The legal process, firmly rooted in Sierra Leone’s robust constitution, should prevail, leading to the prosecution and potential life imprisonment for Koroma, setting a precedent for accountability.
In this context, Sierra Leone asserts its commitment to the rule of law and the fair administration of justice. The people stand united, emphasizing that their constitution is unwavering, and no international body should interfere with the sovereign will of the Sierra Leonean people. The article concludes with a firm declaration that Former President Koroma must be held accountable for his alleged actions, ensuring a just and lawful resolution to this chapter in Sierra Leone’s history.

We know the angle you are coming from, but the end will justify the means
Your post is all fake news
Where this country is going to?
Why
If this precedent is set I fore see sanity in this country brovo that our leaders have started noticing what the country is capable of doing and that the internal body can do. We the people are tired of the country s unstableness sine 2018. For which am sure the country knows the problem and have the solution.
Let justice be prevailed in all aspects of life
Hmmm Salone na Kontri ya. Sierraloaded😁😁😁
Even u the writer don’t know what u are writing,u are just writing out of jealousy and hatred mind set
The heaviness of the dead is not known in the rain until you face to carry it.Koroma should carry the dead Corp.
Any citizens that wrote this article must be very stupid, thank God citizens has no voice in Sierra Leone because we cried for good leader during camping before election at the end of the day Bio stole the election we cried as a citizen no one hear our cry. So must they hear this rubbish cry because of Bai Koroma?
As far as I’m concerned no other citizens write this article other than Sierra loaded….. but una cup go soon full up.
Fake news and propaganda post. You talking nonsense as if the former President is guilt of the crime they accuse him for. You talking about thieves, When Bio came to power did he have any money, The answer is no but he is now a rich man, so where do you think he got all his money from, you think Bio is not a thief then show me where he got all his money. EBK can argue that he was a successful business man before he became a president, but did Bio have argument about where he got his money from, the answer is no, so who is the big thief here. You writing nonsense, you all just got a bad heart because the former President is well respected all over Africa and guys don’t like that, nonsense
No one is above the law. Let the formal state man face the full penalty of Sierra law but not ECOWAS law.
EBK will be tried in Sierra Leone, he is going nowhere. After the Silvia Blyden broadcast on his money laundering activities we now know the criminal triangle, Qatar, UBA Bank and EBK’s terrorist account.
The reason why Nigerians want him to leave and also Aljazeera’s negative broadcast against President Bio’s government. The cat is out of the bag.
This is what exactly we have been experiencing from Bio’s government, it is time we start thinking good for Sierraleonean, during the past 11yrs we have been through a lot for this so called EBK administration of government, this has been our fulfilment of our long cherished dream, surely it is coming through, Bio, we did not vote you in for nothing, I think you have listened to our cries, thank you Sir for showing trust to your beloved citizens, your name will grow more than you expected, Bravo!!
No body is not above the law let him under the penalty
First the writer is subjective and not objective in his views.
Sierra Leoneans should learn from the past. The Bio government is breeding something they will deeply regret.
Bearing in mind ,all what the said government is doing now will be answerable as the Sierra Leone constitution stipulates .
I question the competency (ability) of our judiciary system which lacks transparency and totally control (not independent ) by the executive .
