Kingtom Police Hospital has officially welcomed a new group of interns from Ernest Bai Koroma University in Makeni, marking the start of their practical training at the facility.
The program, which began this month, is part of the hospital’s ongoing commitment to training the next generation of healthcare professionals while contributing to the development of the nation’s health sector. Interns will gain hands-on experience across multiple hospital departments under the guidance of experienced medical staff.
The partnership between Kingtom Police Hospital and Ernest Bai Koroma University bridges the gap between academic learning and practical healthcare delivery. The hospital’s ability to host such programs is credited to the visionary leadership of Inspector General of Police, Mr. William Fayia Sellu, whose support continues to strengthen the Sierra Leone Police Medical Services.
Special recognition was also given to the Deputy Director and Medical Superintendent, ASP Dr. John Mumuneh Konteh, and his dedicated Matron, whose efforts ensure the hospital remains both a center of patient care and professional development.
As these students embark on their internship journey, Kingtom Police Hospital reiterates its dedication to supporting educational institutions and building a stronger healthcare system for Sierra Leone.
