The Council of Tribal Heads in Bo has paid a courtesy visit to the Regional Police Commander South, Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) Andrew Mustapha Kamara, to reinforce unity and their commitment to community development.

Led by Council Chairman Mohamed Mustapha, the high-level delegation formally introduced the body as a recognized institution and pledged full collaboration with the Sierra Leone Police (SLP) in promoting peace, security, and development across Bo and the wider Southern Region.

Welcoming the delegation at the Regional Police Headquarters, AIG Kamara accompanied by Deputy Regional Commander, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Mrs. Fatmata Jebeh Daboh Kamara expressed deep appreciation for the engagement. He emphasized that modern policing relies heavily on strong community partnerships.

“In today’s policing, community engagement is the cornerstone of success,” AIG Kamara said. “Initiatives like the Local Policing Partnership Boards (LPPB) and Community Safety Volunteers (CSV) have significantly helped bridge the gap between the Police and the public, making our work more effective.”

He further noted that the Police force remains relatively small compared to the civilian population, making community support essential.

Speaking on behalf of the Council, Financial Secretary and prominent media figure Mr. Samuel Haffna of Kiss 104.1 FM reaffirmed the Tribal Heads’ commitment to stand with the Police.

“We are ready to be strong partners with the Police in achieving peace and stability across Bo and the Southern Region,” Mr. Haffna said.

The visit ended with a group photograph, symbolizing mutual respect, cooperation, and a shared vision of building safer and more resilient communities.
