In a remarkable display of dedication to youth development and social transformation, Ambassador Cherinor Moseray, a renowned national advocate and development specialist, chose to mark his birthday by engaging directly with Sierra Leone’s vulnerable populations.
Instead of traditional celebrations, Moseray spent the day under the Lumley Juba Bridge, connecting with young people struggling with drug addiction, particularly the widespread abuse of kush.
Moseray, who has long championed youth empowerment and drug prevention, shared his personal journey and the harmful effects of kush with those battling addiction.
His message was clear: society must not discriminate against these individuals but rather embrace and support their path to recovery.
“As an advocate for youth and development, I believe change begins with understanding and compassion,” Moseray stated. “Kush is not the answer to their problems. They deserve guidance and support to choose better futures.”
The event was not just a celebration but a call to action. Moseray’s outreach included a heartfelt conversation about the dangers of drug abuse, emphasizing that addiction hampers health, productivity, and community security.
His efforts echo previous engagements, including insights gained from his experience at the U.S. Embassy on drug abuse prevention.
