A free medical screening event for the elderly, organized by Mohamed Sheik Kamara ‘Jagaban’ to mark the International Day of Older Persons, was abruptly canceled by the Sierra Leone Police today October 1, 2025.
The program, scheduled at Attuga Mini Stadium in Clinetown, aimed to provide essential healthcare services to senior citizens.
Despite prior arrangements, authorities intervened, citing the need for additional clearances from relevant ministries.

This incident adds to a series of disruptions faced by Jagaban’s initiatives. Earlier this year, the Sierra Leone Police also halted the groundbreaking ceremony for a proposed motorbike assembly plant, citing similar reasons.
Organizers reported that the police arrived on-site and stopped the event without prior notice or explanation

There’s a time for every purpose
No human on earth would be a leader forever, let be kind to one others
Sierra leone 🇸🇱 belongs to every citizens
We are one people, one nation
Let us don’t allow selfish, greedy politicians to divide us..
I quote from bible. The five commandment say, love your neighbours as yo love you self…
Nothing last forever…
My question is that did jagaban pass through the process ministry of health? if not then he has no rights to do what he did.
You are actually right, he should go through the necessary procedures, especially seeking approval from the ministry of health and sanitation, but my question here is the it should have supposed to be the ministry vaulting him and not the police, I stand to be corrected, Sierra Leone is a law abiding country, the ministry people should have come to the site and stop him if he was with out proper papers to carry out the process..
