The Deputy Minister of Communication, Technology and Innovation, Mr. Paul Hinga Tucker, on behalf of the Ministry of Communication, Technology and Innovation, has formally handed over five laptops to the Kelvin Doe Foundation for the team of five students who emerged winners of the Student Robotics Tournament.
The tournament, organized by the Kelvin Doe Foundation, was held at its founder’s alma mater, Prince of Wales School in Kingtom, Freetown. It brought together young innovators from different backgrounds to test their skills in robotics, teamwork, and problem-solving, while encouraging creativity and practical learning among students.
The official handover ceremony took place at the Ministry’s Conference Room on the 8th Floor of the Youyi Building. The gesture underscores the Ministry’s continued commitment to promoting practical STEM education and supporting youth-led innovation as a pathway to national development.
The laptops are expected to enhance the students’ learning experience and further empower them to develop their talents in science, technology, and innovation.
