The Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Affairs and the Sierra Leone Producers Union have stepped in to resolve a dispute between musicians Sweet Boi and Legacy Boi over the song “Necessary.”

According to the Tourism Ministry and the Producers Union, a mediation meeting was organized following rumors circulating within the entertainment industry that the track had been stolen.

During the engagement, officials said the matter was discussed extensively by the parties involved. However, it was noted during the meeting that the complainant did not present evidence to support the allegation that the song had been taken without authorization.

The mediation process was facilitated by representatives of the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Affairs and the Sierra Leone Producers Union as part of efforts to maintain order and professionalism within the country’s entertainment sector.

Following the deliberations, both artists were urged to maintain professionalism and unity for the continued growth of Sierra Leone’s music industry.

Officials also encouraged the musicians to move past the disagreement and focus on building stronger collaboration within the sector.

In a bid to foster peace and collaboration among artists, the parties were also encouraged to consider working together on a future musical project,” the Tourism Ministry and the Producers Union stated after the meeting.

The intervention by the two bodies is seen as part of broader efforts to promote harmony and constructive engagement among artists in Sierra Leone’s entertainment industry.
