The official launch of Sierratel provided a platform to celebrate decades of dedicated service, bringing together veteran employees whose careers reflect steady growth within the organisation and whose contributions span technical, administrative, and operational departments.

The occasion also served as a moment of recognition for staff whose long-standing commitment has helped sustain the state-owned telecommunications company through various phases of its development.

Speaking at the ceremony, on Tuesday 5th May 2026, President Julius Maada Bio commended employees who have served through different phases of the institution, describing their commitment as central to sustaining Sierratel during challenging periods of its development.
