The National Revenue Authority (NRA) has actively participated in the ongoing Sierra Leone Mining Week 2026, using the platform to highlight key reforms aimed at strengthening the country’s tax administration system.
The Authority hosted the Honourable Vice President, Dr Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh, at its exhibition booth, alongside a cross-section of national stakeholders drawn from the mining and extractive industry.
During the engagement, NRA officials outlined several major reforms, including the Electronic Cash Register (ECR), Product Tracing System (PTS), Integrated Tax Administration System (ITAS), and the Block Management System (BMS). These initiatives, officials noted, are designed to enhance efficiency, promote voluntary tax compliance, and boost domestic revenue mobilisation.

The Authority also used the opportunity to sensitise stakeholders on key provisions of the Finance Act 2026, with a focus on ensuring better understanding and adherence to updated tax policies.
The event further served as an interactive platform for public education, as NRA representatives engaged stakeholders on a range of tax-related issues, particularly those affecting the extractive sector. Discussions centred on improving transparency, deepening taxpayer awareness, and strengthening revenue administration mechanisms.

The NRA reaffirmed its commitment to sustained stakeholder engagement and the implementation of reforms that support Sierra Leone’s broader national development agenda.
