The National Revenue Authority (NRA) has issued an urgent compliance notice to a wide range of stakeholders, urging them to settle all outstanding non-tax liabilities without delay.

The notice applies to mining companies, Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) license holders, Internet Service Providers (ISPs), television and radio stations, holders of state land leases, factory operators, private security companies, liquor license holders, and entities responsible for arms and ammunition licence fees.

According to the NRA, the directive is grounded in Section 12 of the Finance Act 2019, which empowers the Authority to enforce compliance and recover outstanding revenues.

The Authority warned that enforcement actions will commence immediately against defaulters. These measures include the sealing of business premises, garnishment of business accounts, and possible travel restrictions on non-compliant individuals or entities.

The NRA stressed the importance of prompt compliance, urging all affected stakeholders to regularise their obligations in order to avoid punitive action.
It reaffirmed its commitment to

strengthening revenue collection and ensuring compliance across all sectors of the economy.
