The Political Parties Regulation Commission (PPRC) has officially registered the Humble Africans Development Party (HADP) as a political party in Sierra Leone, in accordance with the provisions of the Political Parties Act No. 25 of 2022.
The certificate of registration was presented on Wednesday, 24 June 2026, during a ceremony held at the Commission’s conference room at Tower Hill, OAU Drive, Freetown.
According to the PPRC, the registration was granted pursuant to Section 22(3)(b) of the Political Parties Act No. 25 of 2022, which empowers the Commission to register political parties that satisfy the legal requirements outlined in the Act.
The Certificate of Registration, bearing registration number PPRC/PP/001/26, officially recognises the Humble Africans Development Party as a duly registered political organisation authorised to operate within the framework of Sierra Leone’s laws.
The document, signed by the Chairman of the Commission, Emmanuel Koivaya Amara Esq., and the Executive Secretary, Olushogo Abraham David, confirms that the party fulfilled the statutory conditions required for registration.
Speaking on the issuance of the certificate, the Commission reaffirmed its constitutional and statutory mandate to regulate political parties and ensure compliance with the country’s electoral and democratic laws.
The registration of the Humble Africans Development Party adds another political organisation to Sierra Leone’s democratic landscape and reflects the Commission’s continued commitment to promoting lawful political participation, political pluralism, and democratic governance.
The PPRC stated that all political parties operating in the country are required to adhere to the provisions of the Political Parties Act and other relevant laws governing political activities in Sierra Leone.
