Magistrate Mustapha Brima Jah of Pademba Road Magistrate Court No. 1 has adjourned proceedings in the matter involving Admire Bio Jalloh, Dausy Jalloh and Italian businessman Alfio Siracusa to 24 July 2026 following arguments over a defence application before the court.

During the hearing, counsel representing Admire Bio Jalloh and Dausy Jalloh sought the court’s permission in relation to the cross-examination of complainant Alfio Siracusa and other prosecution witnesses.

However, the proceedings were interrupted after questions arose over the legal basis of the application. According to reports from the court, the defence was asked to identify the statutory provision supporting its request but did not immediately cite the relevant legal authority.

Following submissions from both sides, Magistrate Jah adjourned the matter to 24 July 2026 to allow proceedings to continue.

The case, which has attracted public interest because it involves Italian businessman Alfio Siracusa, remains before the Pademba Road Magistrate Court. The court has not yet determined the merits of the allegations, and the accused persons continue to enjoy the presumption of innocence until proven guilty in accordance with the laws of Sierra Leone.

Court proceedings on the adjourned date are expected to address the pending application before the matter proceeds with further testimony from prosecution witnesses or any other directions the court may consider appropriate.

The adjournment reflects the court’s responsibility to ensure that legal applications are properly grounded in law before substantive proceedings continue.
